this page,    The World and the Life 3   Classification of the main elements
French

The classification of the described elements of our world minerals, plants, animals.
I added there the liquid world, the gas world and the radiant world which appear quite as fundamental to me. Why the term "world": because the term "medium", "element" or others appear to me too "elementary" facing their complexity.

Liquid and gas worlds; They both contains, brews and transports the two vital elements for us which are water and oxygen (and lot of others). They allow the calorific exchanges, the evaporation of water, its transport and finally its precipitation with the rain. These two worlds carve the mineral world, release its components, whose calcium and another trace elements, spreading them on the planet; they spread also the products of life (seeds from the south are found at the North Pole), when they straightforwardly do not transport a swarm of locusts between Africa and America. The marine animals follow their currents. They keep in the great majority of the animal species, the mineral world reserving that of the plants.
The gas world
contains, in the form of insects and other tiny animals, pollens or vegetable particles, part of the food base for the birds which it lodges.
The gas world is dissolved or present in all other worlds, often in great quantities in the liquids (oxygen for example is dissolved deeply in the oceans, our body (globules, bodies, flesh); water we drink is aerated. The gas world impregnates the grounds and the rocks and takes part in the chemical reactions. Gases can be beneficial, both in their naturalness or dissolved in liquids, but also dangerous and lethal.  The volcanoes often exhale very toxic sulphurous vapours (one collects sometimes there dangerously the yellow sulphur). An of African volcano lake killed all the inhabitants of a village by exhaling a puff of - perhaps - neutral gas but which, descending the slopes, replaced the breathed air.
The liquid world
; The liquid world contains, on the form of plankton and of krill, the food base to nourish animals which it lodges. These liquids can be beneficial, harmful or dangerous; ferruginous or sulphurous water can be accepted in medical treatment. But a lake of volcano contains a liquid which is in fact acid. Some researchers paddle on it sometimes but better not to keel over in !.
The liquid world give out its benefits and its catastrophes.

It carts the fertile alluvium torn off to the mineral world. It moves enormous quantities of sands, of salt which are redeposit elsewhere. Sands thus carried away are sometimes recomposed into rocks (like the sandstone), or in composite rocks "pudding" (compound of elements from various origin (stones, compressed sands); in France, ochre of Roussillon or Rustrel (Provence) are agglomerated coloured sands; in the same way for the troglodytes of the south Luberon. The liquid world, infiltrates and runs under the ground, sometimes very deeply; there is an underground grid of river. It forms underground amount of water, from which one will draw water (in Provence, the ground water is fed by the Alps !  the rain, when it feeds these reserves, will put sometimes several tens of years or much more to go down there. It has worked and still works the planet, creating broad valleys (rivers of water or ice), attacking with its rains and the wind of the gas world, the mineral world which breaks down little by little. Not in the textbooks, but under our eyes. Each year, sides of hill, rocks of altitude collapse.

The mineral world

It moves, alters, produced materials under the effect of chemistry, the pressures and/or the temperature by the movement of the elements in fusion, their pushing up towards surface under pressure, or even the movements of these plates of earth's crust which float and rub in slow moving. In particular, all metals come from the deep layers, after rising out from the deep. There are radioactive rocks, crystalline ones (of which the silicon of our electronics). Heavy oils, the gases (containing hydrocarbon) are said produced by buried fossil forests which rooted under the supposed effect of enormous pressures and perhaps microbes).

The micronutrients about which we speak so much are primarily metals, in very small proportion very in our body (oligo, Greek root meaning very few) and however if necessary. A quantity of iron lower or higher than the three grams than we have can cause significant disorders, the conveying iron of oxygen. We have thus to see with the mineral world more than it does not appear to with it.

composition of human body The mineral life ; everywhere the mineral plays a consequent role but it is not alive, at least according to our vision and on our scale. but it is life all the same for it made the vegetable world developed, with the assistance of the liquid world. Its elements are vital, of which trace elements and lots of others, which were dissolved in the sea (of which we have kept our original saline composition (in % , see density) and that plants get from the ground or manufacture.  They are complementary and undoubtedly bond much more than one cannot imagine. Everything is linked.
A plant or a shrub out of pot pushes and is maintained only with intensive care; and they will get a restricted development. In open ground, even of poor quality, their development will be surprising. It is true that the volume of ground available is much higher there and that the roots can extend in it. But there are limits and after a few months or a few years, all shouldn't it being sucked close to the roots ?  but it is not, evidence that there is a life, an underground circulation, a permanent renewal. The ground provide also certain protection to it, for example against the significant variations of temperature or the draughtiness. The microbial flora is there also very active and one does not know what really occurs there (benefits, cure, attacks).

the mineral world contains minerals and of the ores, large suppliers for the building, decoration, the jewels, technology. For a few grams of gold or another noble metal, the human devastation of the mountains and even the sea-bed (by aspiration of the sediments).

The mineral world comes by a great amount  from the animal world, i.e. alive : indeed, the limestone is present in the majority of the young mountains (in France, Alps, Pyrenees, Jura) and it comes only from animals, majority marine, from the cretaceous period which has produced the famous flint stone so useful for the prehistoric men (after le "cretaceous", see also "architecture 21", Normandie, bottom of page). The "truly mineral" rocks coming the depths of the ground are the granite and basalt; the famous pink granite of the north of Brittany is found in Corsica,  Sechelles, hills of Rio de Janeiro bay and elsewhere, with his beautiful roundnesses and its stackings; only the layers which were raised, then worn let it appear. The basalt can be expelled by volcanoes. It can get the shape of very large spectacular crystals, like the "giants" in Ireland, kinds of gigantic organ pipes. Among minerals, the crystals fascinate us because one suffer to explain similar fittings, similar creation which cannot be totally the fact of the chance. For the moment being, the man can reproduce only a negligible part of them (artificial semi-precious stones, like zircon for diamond, emerald (without its cracks intern) etc.

The "living" world, vegetal, animal.   One would know only 5 per 1000 of the animals on the earth (those we dont know count primarily among both the tiny and microscopic ones). " a square meter of wet forest (primary tropical), contains more species than the unit of the forests of France". Quote of a scientist, intended to make us understand the life and what we keep destroying.

The microscopic directs all. It is not easy to admit that we are composed of tiny elements, molecules, cells, whose can be regarded as colonies which grew bigger little by little due to a collective interest ; our nerves would be chains of amoebas, and the remainder is like this image  (*). It is estimated that our nervous connections alone are as numerous as all stars of our galaxy or even of the universe. They are not completed at the birth and it is necessary for the child to wait 10 years so that its side sight is total. At the beginning, it sees only in front of him and cannot thus seek nor to find easily, which his parents do not know.
(*) As evidence of this assertion, one can check that no species of consequent size never appeared in a very short lapse of time and that the species known as new either were ignored up to date, or are tiny. If tiny that one is unaware of probably, apart from the microbes and other viruses, that they exist and will be perhaps a day a new plant or undoubtedly with difficulty, a new animal. Nobody knows who will rule on this earth in a few million years.

The first question about the intelligence is thus posed immediately : it is not the brain which, born all alone, would constitute then the individual. First of all because a very few number of beings have one ! then because it is only one "power station" necessary to coordinate the whole of the construction and its complex life. How the being so composed can it be more intelligent than these tiny being which built it ?  they built it but they didn't designed it, so they doesn't know beans about that. No less, more than us.    Never this question is put up because it disturbs too much.  , "the hand, the leg and the intelligence", "reflexes, memory, the thought" and "education"

The generations ;  a colon bacillus (cell) is divided into two colon bacilli each half hour. Generations follow one another at a pace which varies a lot depending on the considered living being. From the tortoise to the microbe/virus, the time scale changes all things : during a life of human, thousands of generations of our "tiny" (see higher), followed one another. What about the consequences ? they had time to change "while passing on lucky findings" on hundred, thousand generations or more. Thus  antibiotics do not act any more on some diseases which were forgotten but rushed back during only one or two generation of human.
There are contexts we will never free ourselves, just like jet lag.

The ADN, in fashion. Its study is only starting and we refer to it about anything, correction of the genetic anomalies, reproduction by cloning, creatures at willing .. This ADN (acid deoxyribonucleic) is all things considered "the schedule of conditions" for our body construction, a full program. This so complex unit however is present in each one of our cells ! one finds it in any matter fragment having been alive. In good condition, one could make re-born anything, plant or an animal; let's get back to reality : 1/ it is necessary to reconstitute an embryo which will be brought up in a belly (or artificial belly), during all the gestation period.  2/  it seems that the genetic code keeps trace of diseases, of age etc. They says Dolly the ewe had been born already old.  3/  it is necessary that the living conditions are favourable ; nourishing a megalodon would be very difficult nowadays for the fish is rare,  even more because its favourite dishes perhaps do not exist  any more.
A theory pretend that , at the origin of life on our planet,  there would have been a single ADN for all being alive. I want to speak, not of the multiple combinations of this ADN which have created and which unceasingly creates all  that we see, but a basic molecule virgin itself (with all its possibilities). It would be as if "a single seed", allowing innumerable combinations of species later, had come down from the space, each being using  little or much of its multiple combinations (for the man, a whole series of codes would not have been used).

Hormones; they exist both in plants and animals, they act on the reproduction, the metabolism, the muscles, the nerves. In great number, their proportions and their interaction have a great importance. the nerves are excited by hormones at a rate of one millionth of gram per litre.

The vegetal world ; the green leave appears to be quite modest : with its famous chlorophyll which reacts to the sun, it is a factory of an incredible complexity, never approached by the man in his most complex achievements because it produces chemical products, such as basic elements it needs and who do not exist in his environment, and would even carry out the dream of the alchemist, the atomic transmutation, by manufacturing iron (completely absent from the ground during an experiment, perhaps disputed); From what? water, air, ground and light, which provides him energy, to treat essential carbon dioxide (CO2) contents in the air. By its roots, it absorbs nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium called NPK (phosphates, nitrates). The leave pushes, manufactures its perfume, its colors, its forms, its lures (see the orchises). The alchemists wish especially to obtain gold but failing to, but its properties could be used for our ecosystem and to serve ecology; it is in hand.

Odd plants.  Plants known as "carnivores" eat insects by trapping them with a slipping edge of flower or by folding up two petals bordered of needles. A gastric juice makes the remainder, as in our stomach. There are perhaps other "exceptions" which we never observed and we would probably always ignore, as well they ignore us.
- Examples. Some plants, generally parasitic, would not be able nourishing by themselves, getting food in the soil or practicing the alchemy of photosynthesis. These plants have to get help from another plant they capture in the vicinity.

New York Times - July 2008 : The "beach weed" or "sea rocket" can distinguish between plants they are related to it and those they are not. And not only does this plant recognize its skin but it also gives them preferential treatment : if the sea rocket detects unrelated  plant growing in the ground with it, the plant aggressively sprouts nutrient grabbing roots. but if detects family it politely restrains itself.
- A parasitic weed, the "dodder", is unable to grow roots or make sugar using photosynthesis. So, after sprouting  from seed, the plant would fairly quickly need to begin growing on and into another plant to extract the nutrients needed to survive. The dodder sprouts would move in a circular fashion, "sensing" airborne chemicals released by nearby plants. Then, without having touched another plant, the dodder grew toward its preferred victim;

One knows nearly nothing about the life of the plants because it escapes to us and that one underestimates them since always. There are plants which are not (like mushrooms). Would without plants, the terrestrial life exist ?
All the animals call upon the plants to purge themselves, heal themselves, shoot themselves. The plants hold practically the exclusiveness in the origin of the drugs (see above, vegetable world). The plants hold practically exclusiveness for the drugs production. Big groups chemical/pharmaceutics try still nowadays (XXI century), to tear off the secrecies of "primitive" tribes of the East, at less expenses; extremely fortunately, they also learned how to negotiate but I did not have any more news of the continuation of this sad business. Both humans and animals selected the plants during millenia, with much of deaths (now we prefer to torture animals); they brought their enormous knowledge in a field which is extremely likely to disappear (plants, animals and humans "wild").

The bark, the sap; the role of the bark is perhaps more complex than it first appears to us ; like our skin, it ensures protection and insulation; the sap runs mostly under it and a tree dies if one removes its bark all around the trunk. Many diseases and insects attack the fresh and friendly bark under it, and kill the tree. Once it is died, it is still under the bark that initially worms and insects will nourish themselves. Many tribes in the world are fond of these worms, like the kanaks in New Caledonia.  Thanks to their bark, trees survive the fires, i.e. they grow again from the base ; of which the oak cork and the niaouli (New Caledonia). Their life centre is not killed.
The sap is our blood, but how does is it going up ? by capillarity some people answer, by aspiration answer others, because the evaporation of the sheets creates a vacuum behind which aspires the sap. Nothing of all that in my opinion, because after having cut all the leafy branches of a larger  "mother" branch,  it remained only one large stub of more than two meters set up towards the sky, which keep crying with large tears during weeks !   something pushed upwards and that came fatally from the trunk.

roots ; they can reach depths you can't imagine; more than 10 meters for the alfalfa and beet; thirty meter for the oak ! almost nothing for the pine which is spread out on the ground. Their quiet force is incredible; they infiltrate in the rocks to hook and take some substances from it. Roots can dissolve the rock slowly, as certain molluscs do digging their hole in a rock. They can form tubers, inextricable networks from where they will never be destroyed. The fresh roots of the bamboo are particularly impressive.  Roots, according to scientists, would draw only few elements in the ground, primarily rock salts, they are very significant for plants (and us).

The centre of life ;  it is not identified.  People thinks that it is located at the collet, in this part ballooning between the roots and the stem/trunk. However, if the plant is completely torn off, certain root can grow again and reform the plant. In all cases, like all the living beings, she does not want to die. Thus, wait long enough before declaring a plant is died, because there are surprises; possibly tiny leaves grows back at the foot after several months. Reach a magnifier glass and look at to see the small green point which can last for ever and enlarge one day. There are even sticks which push back when they are planted !
Growing again ;
the cut plant or the tree grows back by respecting their own genetic code  (the shape of the branches and the sheets, bark, silhouette, size, secretions etc but with new branches which differ from the former.

The mushroom; one really knows beans on this being which is not a plant and could be connected with animal; the mushroom emits clouds of spores to reproduce itself, but one cannot still plant "a mushroom seed", excepted some swindler who claims to sell some. On the other hand, one can  in some cases prepare a favorable medium and "make breeding" (mushroom beds of Paris and besides). The very fine "cords" which run under ground are quite as mysterious. Mushrooms killed and will kill always imprudent ones. The sadly fame "round one of the witches" has particularly horrible effects  (rotting of the members, I believe ), from where the name given to the Average Age stems. Mushrooms are also among "tiny ones" when they develop in the form of moulds. These moulds can be also dangerous (seldom with cheeses), and it is better be wary about it. They can cause diseases of nails, toes (foot of athlete) etc. They are also useful (cheeses). They were especially used to create the miraculous antibiotics (of which penicillin), which made make the most spectacular jump of medicine, saving from infection million of beings. The lichen is the association of an alga and a mushroom. Narrowing the death, people scraped some to nourish themselves.

The plant and the movement ;   it is known that the flowers closed themselves at sunset  to reopen at dawn; do they sleep or dream ?  no ! answers the human ,plant does not have a nervous system, does not feel anything, does not think. However much people say that they should be loved, that you must talk to them. They move, because a "slow" camera shows well in accelerated projection, their swinging, their hesitant moving while growing. Stick-tight ; the bindweed climbing up and roling around a support as if it sought and touched is particularly spectacular. At the idle, the bindweed makes exactly like a snake rolling up around a prey. I saw some of them on each vertical wire of a fence, so perfectly stuck and rolled up that one would have sworn by far to see twisted iron wire !  if the bindweed doesn't feel anything, how each individual can reserve a wire and be rolled up there so perfectly ? doesn't that disturb anybody? listen to the continuation:
They do not feel anything ? do not have muscles ?   then why and how the sensitive one (plant in flower, medium of page), folds up its sheets immediately as soon as one touch it ?

the communication, the defences ; far from being inert as it was imagined, plants react with their means which can be frightening: The vegetable world practises the chemistry of very high level; scents, but also emissions of signals or poisons are not unusual. There are trees under which better is worth not to fall asleep. Others are protect themselves from animals with alarming spines of 10 cm long, including all around the trunk.
One quotes lately a history of goats and acacias; taken again here on ARTE (6 06 2004), but with kinds of antelopes. Rresearch of scientists followed the discoveries made first by the farmers. ARTE (in substance): "a significant number of these antelopes were locked up in vast African properties. In a wild world", one needs 100 hectares for four animals; in this enclosure, even very vast, the acacias were too much grazed and revolted by quadrupling the rate of tannin they produce normally, killing out a very many animals. Tests had shown that the tree can increase its production of tannin only within few hours; either the animal quit and goes towards another if it taste it, or the tree kills it rather quickly. Better more , the tree communicates with other trees which, without to be grazed, prepare the same defence. In addition, the young acacias have considerably more needles than oldest for they are more vulnerable; the less grazed acacias have less needles than the grazed ones. There is a direct relation. Let's quote now this acacias which shelters ants to protect itself against others species (it is not alone to pay bodyguards): it has made for them hollow spines so that they can shelter and products inside small capsules, the nectar of which they are fond of. In exchange, the ants attack any importunate. The business becomes complicated at the flowering time, because it is necessary to prevent the ants from going to help themselves inside flowers. The tree emits then nearby flowers a repulsive which keep the ants away !!   Exceptional ? not at all .. our corn is attacked by worms; but there is a tiny wasp (1 mm) known as "Californian", which lays its eggs in the worms (it will die later of course). How make corn to call the wasps for help ?  answer :  by emitting an "interesting" odour, which will guide them to the target "   end of ARTE. This wasp is also imported in Tahiti to fight against the flies "baby girls" (see Risks and dangers).

The animal world Animal, from "animalis", animated. For much of people, the insects are not perceived like animals; they are insects! that to think then of the insects, shellfish (of the krill) and others which are practically invisible; and the microscopic ones, the microbes, the .. stop !

There are those which eats plants and those which eat those which ate plants. The food becoming more and more concentrated, one needs less quantities of it and one has got spare time (a herbivore must keep grazing almost all the day long (an elephant consumes 300 to 500 kilos of foliage per day to nourish its 4,5 tons).
The breeding is the fact of animals other than humans ones, as the ants which raise plant louses. The human rationalized agriculture and breeding, then produced machines which multiplied the muscular force.

The paw, the foot.  animals which do not have legs or feet have generally "pods", like our lovely gastropods, the snail. They can be fixed at the rock by suction cup pods. The foot allows many animals to move. here is an example quite curious to show that all works together in our body and that our reduced physical activity can be the cause of many troubles; the foot, by the sole of the feet and its blood network, acts like a pump when one walks to help to make going up the blood in the body. Veins and arteries, provided with valves - valvules - also take part in this effort. Our reduced physical activity, compared to the long days of walk or tiring work of our ancestors, can be the cause of many troubles. Exercises relating to the vertical column are linked down to the foot, which one draws towards oneself.
The leg, the foot are sensitive to the characteristics of the ground (firmness, irregularity, moisture..); they also feel vibrations, likely to announce the approach of an animal, the passage of a herd, the fall of a heavy body. The vibrations of the earthquake, precursor of the disastrous tidal wave in south India and Sumatra (January 2004), had been perceived by the animals (elephants and undoubtedly other free animals, which had fled). Doesn't one see in cartoons, Indians with their ear stuck on the ground to determine the presence of a horse and his direction?

The skin.  Its role is more complex than it does first appear ; it ensures protection, insulation, temperature control, exchanges with the external medium, but also feelings, contact, detection and alarm. It can also absorb products. The end of the finger (as the end of the language) detects extra thickness of some thousandth of millimetres. Touched by some freshness, it makes shiver the whole body. Gently rub by some liked finger, it plunges all the body and the heart in a state of intense happiness and expectation.
"please, don't touch" what terrible tag it is not? we have a visceral need to touch to judge, appreciate, decide. It is at the same time a requirement but also a true pleasure. Even the foot likes the contact with the ground.

The mouth, the leg, the hand and intelligence ; the mouth function is to breath (with the nose) and nourish but also to seize and handle as can do the leg, the paw or the hand. It is an extremely powerful grip. With the the leg, an animal can dig, or catch its preys, maintain an object  in order to chew it, to even launch a piece of wood (monkeys), to knock a nut on a stone, to play (does they really play ?) but also to educate its babies. The hand has two opposable fingers, the thumb and the index, which allow a great skill. The hand made it possible the brain to develop by reciprocal action (interaction) and no animal reached this level, although it can use tools (sticks, stones). One thus saw an otter rolling  itself in the water on its back and breaking a shell on his belly using a stone posed on it. Those which can break a shell by dropping it from top are not so rare, nor those which can break it with a stone. The brain of an ant is not large; one even says that it is collective. The following test was carried out : a brushwood was inserted in a honey pot, through a lid. Our ant, very interested, has quickly understood that the brushwood could help it to get the honey up. It thus tried, gone up on the lid, to draw up the brushwood with its legs and succeeded in going it up a little. But as soon as it released it, the brushwood fell down. The problem seemed insoluble but it didn't discourage. At the third day, it did exactly what we would have done ! after having drawn up the stem, it blocked it with its other legs and its body, then started again. It finally had its honey.

An isolated brain can nothing make nor solve by itself bus when it reflects, it must obligatorily see the things being done physically, would be this only a writing. The mouth, the leg, the hand, are not the arms and the jaw of a crane. They live, feel, test and position. An athlete reproduces in his head, before the competition, all the movements which it will carry out; it is absolutely fantastic, because it will do them in reality in the same manner, but with its complexes components of speed and dynamic balance; The life makes virtual simulation since always, which is not the exclusive fact of the brain of the man; to project itself in a reality of synthesis in a full state of awakening, is a situation comparable to the dream; the process is characterized only by the mode of trigging. We project ourselves all thus frequently, from the athlete to the writer.

The eye; it receives the radiations which, transmitted to the brain, will make it possible to constitute an image of our environment. By collecting the rays of the sun by the intermediaries of the pupils, it also makes it possible to fix calcium on the bones (an alive bone loses matter regularly and is regenerated permanently). We see only one negligible part of the solar radiation, (the colors of the rainbow); the black is the absence of light and the white the composition of all of them. Beyond the visible light extends infinite ultraviolet rays and on opposite side that of infra-red ones.
One studied the eye of frog because it sees appears it only what moves; but everyone animal is thus, and let us not make we exception there. The movement it is alarm, either a danger, or a prey; one thus sees well better what moves by vital need; the tradesmen included/understood it for a long time, with the signs which were balanced. After, one created aggressive neons, then a lunatic advertizing with tele. But the eye can be misled; to further see "the thought and the perception" and "the radiant world".

Ultra sounds vision. As for the vision (reception of light, therefore of electromagnetic waves), ultra sounds make it possible to obtain an image of the environment. The bat is well-known to move in the darkness by emitting ultrasounds. They would have given the idea of the radar. It was discovered that marine mammals (whales, belugas, perhaps dolphins) emit ultra sounds which enable them to obtain an image, which could be more powerful than that of their vision itself ; its characteristic is to be able "to going through" the bodies so that they would see the bodies organs functioning (a sort of radiography).

The sense of smell;  like all the other senses, its role is to inform and prevent; for an animal, there are no good and bad smells, but only of useful ones or not. Human  with its upgraded socialization, has all indexed and classified. For him, there are good and bad smells.
The good manners wants that one does not speak about certain odors associated with the sight of the matter, though they belong to his own life.
However, a pragmatic and brilliant doctor thinks that if we could send our excrements to get them analyzed, one would detect certain diseases, of which cancers, both in the most effective and most economic manner it is. But for the moment, it must make fall the taboo. We had to put the hand in it.

The centre of life;  first of all, it was placed in the belly, then in the heart before being located in the brain for the essential functions, although nothing is sure. There is perhaps much more decentralization than it is imagined. Heart and lungs have a dominating role which one didn't manage to identify for the plants (if those can send messages of alarm, it is to some extent that they think at least to others (see the vegetable world).

Growing again ;  this possibility exists for certain animals such the crab, which can reconstitute a claw (in smaller size). For humans, the liver, if it is sufficiently cut (into two) can  reconstitute itself. Derma and the skin grows ; one even makes now grow artificially skin by taking the skin of an individual whom one makes grow in a serum which was taken from him, so that all is from him and without rejection when after increasing in surface one can put it to him. Research and progress in the field of the skin, and the veins are very encouraging;  American make grow micro veins (capillary ends like a hair) inside silicon moulds inspired by the technology of the microprocessors. They hope to reconstitute a heart one day.

The renewal ; basically, we are a composition "of tiny beings", a colony of protozoa, cells, virus, microbes bacteria and well of others which one however prefers to be unaware of; all these "components" are renewed and die constantly with at rather constant rate because their life is short; bones teeth lose and reconstitute their matter, our mucous membranes recoat, as well as the retina, the skin is renewed just as our vital bodies, cell by cell and it is thus for the our entire body. In short, we are in permanent recombining, as this cloud that you can observe but who does not exist "statically" bus him also renews itself permanently: the hot air while going up cools and the water vapor which it contains condenses (like mist on cold panes): fine water droplets are formed and continued their rise; they fall down further, are heated and vaporized again, disappearing; this explains the thickness of the clouds, which finally are like multiple flat water jets suspended in the air. The droplets have only one very short life but the cloud is permanent. It is what we are until the moment when "our components" do not renew any more. As the cloud disappears.

The sleep. I will not speak about the phases of the sleep, often described, but of the great mystery which surrounds it and of what occurs there or even is woven there during the running programme. We live during our sleep phantasmagoric situations which take back lived events transformed and assembled although they do not have anything common run. It is paradoxical. When I say us, I think of all the animals, our companions.
One knows very well that after a night, sleeping well or not, one finds sometimes the solution at a problem. During the sleep, the brain makes the balance sheet of the day or of several days, being able to seek very far behind any subject, carrying out foolish combinations together to create an image or to solve a problem. Are these films of the life created by the need for self-defence, vital for survival, because we kept our brain known as "reptilian"?. Does the brain works out during these phases, some antibody to fight against a disease, on a species or individual scale ?. How to explain that an epidemic ceases naturally well before the extinction of all the species? does the new empire "" die out itself, or do the " besieged" develop on long run defences which are transmitted ? undoubtedly both. However, one tends to over-estimate the action of the human brain (we live the period of the "whole intellectual"). Can it be imagined that the brain prepares also the evolution of the species according to elements which are surely not due at random, at contrary to the theory of Darwin.

Note: at night, the brain is released from the constraints of the day to day life which monopolize it and it can use the energy which the body at rest does not need anymore, to make function its "irrational" part, that of the instinct, that which makes you choose a partner, that which calculates the approaching speed of  a car and says to pass or not, that of prudence or the risk, that of unreasoned fears and happiness.
The brain is very irrigated by blood and consumes much sugar. A small cut on the head is very impressive because one is immediately covered with blood.

Reflexes, memory, thinking ; the brain controls everything excepted seemingly, the "conditioned" reflexes (example: withdrawal of the hand if one burns oneself). Like some other animals (we don't know for insects and lower, undoubtedly, the man has a brain called "reptilian"; rustic (?) but essential and which directs all or almost do; the beautiful flights on our super intelligence are checked each day at the house, in the street or the newspapers; moods, incivilities, violence, robberies, diversions of money by the most wealthy of us, murder, wars provoqued in foreign country (adverse people provided with arms) in order to steal their resources rather than helping them not to die from starvation.  It's also slavery in some underground factories or at home (the Third World but also in the basements of the rich countries).
The  memory brain would be particular to us, like that of the intelligence and one get astonished to verify that animals can have some memory and intelligence. This fact disturbs badly lots of certainty (see the orchids and the bee). In fact, as I think doctors or psychologists admit that, the intelligent brain justifies the acts of the  reptilian brain and one checks it everyday: "you are always right"; it is true, one clears oneself of all behaviour with the most perfect bad faith. It is also said that an engineer can produce a bundle of calculations to prove that the dam must be there but that it could write as much to prove the contrary, joke which confirm that we know perfectly : one get instinctively an opinion on a question and that one explain it after by joining all it is necessary for us to convince. The worst acts of the reptilian brain : at the bas of the scale, those which can use or ruin other people without any bad conscience; at the top the most contemptible assassins who do not perceive the evil that they make; they can admit it or to recognize it but they are not affected ; assassins of the worst category, in their cell, say to the specialized psychiatrists came to hear them : do not let to me leave because I will start again. They are conscious but cannot do anything against themselves.

Awakening, curiosity;   senses are always in awakening, even at night (hearing, sense of smell), although it happens that nothing can awake us if one sleeps like a "bell ringer"; perhaps not is it the same for animals, which risk much more for their life. The awakening of the senses is capital because it preserves from danger (predatory, hurricane, fire.); it also makes it possible to spot the prey; the curiosity allows us to get informed and prevent any bad surprise; it also possibly allows to copy or to get advantages of the other; thus the innovations are propagated quickly; in our society, chattering and espionage are the same motivation, to be briefed.

The play; among all the animals we know a little, playing is training for the life; what is allowed to make and what it is not; what exactly is the ability and the power; it is also what we call socialization; the young person feels the life with his genes, observes the life in the neighbourhoods and tries itself. Both the life and the familly inculcate the limits to him. He learns how to defend, observe, to be wary, know the others (of its species or not), to understand the sexes, to apprehend the elements (rain, wind, temperature, storms), to shelter, prepare what he wants to do, to attack to nourish itself.
Many toys of children bring nothing useful and are quickly forsaken; the child just wants to play the life like the other animals and it is why he likes so much to hide to surprise you or slip in the shoes of the parents; The child lives in the imaginary and always dreams of huts to shelter but also to isolate itself, to be dissimulated, to plot with others; he lives with tales, battles, adventures, risks or for the girls, of houses, hairstyles of jewels, kitchen and dishes. He wants to build his life. depriving he too early with excess under pretext he can catch anything very quickly is an attack to its life. Some trees, a recess, even a waste ground that they will dig with their bicycle or their scooter to get some feelings, will be forever higher. But why the children always like to splash in the water puddle pools ?

The storage ;  storing whereas we do not need it any more is also a reptilian reflex ;  as soon as the fuel price increases, one queues up to fill the tank and if the news are "bad", one stores rice, pastes, flour, sugar, coffee. For nothing, but the reptile takes care !
