This one is not so différent, However, it is a true tropical one, from New Caledonia. At first peek.

On the early morning, the poor one is hanging-dead. She had boomed for only one night, suddenly spreading a buff of powerful perfume. Others will still open, during a few days. In a greenhouse, south of France, she opens around at 9/10 p.m.. Our cutting.. It is a variety of thornless cactus , (Epiphyllum or Phyllocactus), whose leaves are actually enlarged stems that grow on another one, then thins into stems. Origin Central and South America. |
Here is the flower which open only at deep fall or night., or almost because she seems disturbed over the years, while keeping nearly the same local hour !!
